NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) Nik Wallenda once again took to the skies above the Seneca Niagara Casino to walk on a wire Friday morning, where he not only battled the elements, but also the push for him to wear a safety harness.

"We’re still fighting the good fight, that’s all I can tell you. I’m not going to give that up as of now, and we’ll see where it leads to," Wallenda said.

The wire-walker is now feeling the pressure from sponsors to have an added safety measure in case he slips like he did in Baltimore last week,

"Anybody can research the history of what I’ve done my entire life as well as my family, you’ll never see a tether attached to any of us. We just don’t do it," the daredevil said.

The other issue of contention is whether admission will be charged to watch the big event on June 15th. Assemblyman John Ceretto even sent a letter to Governor Andrew Cuomo asking for his help to keep the event free.

"We want to do it right, and we want to show the world that we’re doing it right. And we want to promote the area, free," Ceretto said.

"That’s why I’m covering these costs, so there is no charge for the general public to come see this event. And it should be free," Wallenda added.
